Competition versus Regulation: Getting the Balance Right

Half day seminar

The event is timed to coincide with the Northern Ireland Utility Regulator’s public consultation on its Review of the Effectiveness of Competition in the Northern Ireland Energy Retail Market – Phase II Regulatory Implications, which concludes on 18 March 2016.

The consultation, which covers household and small industrial & commercial consumers,  considers the regulatory options for the NI energy supply markets, which could replace the status quo should the current form of price regulation cease.

One of the options is to go down the same route as GB and ROI where the energy markets are deregulated.

The seminar aims to bring together all the key stakeholders under one roof to consider the regulatory options on the table; informing the Utility Regulator’s Review.
