Toward the Target Model 2.0 Policy Recommendations for a sustainable market design
Hosted by ESB at the Morgan Hotel in Temple Bar
Energy economist Fabien Roques will present the findings of this recent multiclient study, assessing key issues with the current European electricity market design and highlighting the report’s radical reform ideas for future European power and carbon markets.
His presentation will cover how better to coordinate investment between network, centralised and decentralised generation; how to secure investor return and reduce cost for consumers; lessons from ‘hybrid markets’; and reform of the carbon market and renewables support schemes.
Fabien Roques is Senior Vice President in the Paris office of Compass Lexecon and has held positions with the International Energy Agency and IHS Cambridge Energy Associates.
Attendees to include representatives from DCENR.
