Brookfield Renewable Energy Group will be holding a community open day at Kills Hills Wind Farm in County Tipperary on Thursday 21 April at 6.30pm.
The open day offers an opportunity to learn more about wind energy and see the inner workings of a turbine.
Brookfield Renewable staff will be giving guided tours and will be available to answer any questions.
There is no parking at the wind farm, so to facilitate visitors a bus will be departing from Dualla Church car-park at 6:00pm and opposite Ballinure Graveyard at 6:15pm.
For more information contact Liz Casey on (021) 422 3614.
The event is part of ‘Open House Energy’, an initiative by the Electricity Association of Ireland which aims to raise awareness of how energy services are delivered and consumed. A number of Ireland’s energy firms have been opening their doors to members of the public with a series of events continuing across the country.
